Guide :Cycling : Cycling

My Dad is 87 years old and has a small peddle stationary excersiser that he does from a chair. The peddles are too small and he keeps hitting his ankles etc. His feet don't fit into the straps and he's broken one strap. He's frustrated since he can barely walk and needs the exercise. I wanted to purchase larger pedals and see if I can attach them to this small pedal exerciser. Are the Schwinn Wide Ride Pedals a good choice and can I take the old pedals off and attach the Schwinns with ease?? Thanks
